...as far as I am concerned! Kinuko Y. Craft comes thru again! THIS IS ONE GLORIOUS CALENDAR! I agree 100% with everything reviewer "Miro" said.
BRAVO! Just breathe taking, beautiful. If you are a fan of her art YOU WILL NOT BE LET DOWN with this one. And if you are NOT a fan, you SHOULD be!

I expect it to be as gorgeous as last year's WOMEN OF ENCHANTMENT (2008-12-16)

Kinuko Y Craft is an exceptional fantasy artist. I have several novels on my shelf with her art on the cover--and her artwork always catches my eye in bookstores. I also own a coffee table book of her art. And in my bathroom, I have hanging last year's WOMEN OF ENCHANTMENT. The artwork is stunning--full of myth, magic, vibrant color, luminosity. Just a delight to look upon it shortly after waking. :)

The calendar boxes per day give enough room for one to jot down appointments and birthdays--as I do.

But it's all about the art. Bring some beauty into your new calendar year. :)

UPDATE: Okay, received my calendar 12/18, and here's the artwork on it:
January: Hermione--a mournful classical style female with Greek classic columns and a soft blue sea behind her. Reminds me of those 19th century sleepy women paintings.

February: Claire's Wings--dark foresty space surrounds a lovely, fair fairy giving off a golden glow as she admires her reflection in a pool. I've seen this image on other products--cards and bags. So, it must be one of Kinuko's popular ones.

March: Ozma of Oz--reminds me of Renaissance portraits. A lovely young woman in an elaborate gown in her room, a scepter and crown on a cushion beside her, and through a window, a castle high up with clouds behind.

April: The Queen of Icemark--Warrior woman with dramatic black horse and white leopard and battle scene behind. The leopard is stunning.

May: Sacred Ground--a peaceful seaside landscape with a Native American looking beauty (or maybe some fantasy ethnicity that's a cross between Indian (West and East) carrying a basket. A serene dawn time of day. Very nice.

June: Psyche Weeping--an interesting composition with a mournful tone, a lot of dark greens and black as we look at a pool reflection of Psyche with her head in her hand,w eeping. We don't see her, only her reflection.

July: The Barque of Frailty--A moonlit night on a street reminiscent of Prof. Higgins' street in MY FAIR LADY, but a woman in Empire white gown and gold shawl lieson the stone stree, letters scatterd about her and flying up in a breeze. She is so pale, may be dead (or fainted). A beautiful, but tragic painting.

August--The Ghost of Netley--A woman in Regency white gown and airy shawl walks in the forest in moonlight.

September--Sleeping Beauty--She's awake and half-risen on her white silky bed, prince approaches, but attendants still slumber. Dark surrounding the central luminosity that is the blonde princess.

October--Water Sprite--a light-hearted painting suffused with early sunlight as a water sprite stands on pointe on the surface of the sea and a magical companion rides a butterfly alongside.

November--The Transformation of Angarred--One of my fave of Craft's works (one I've seen elsewhere and before) of a half-woman/half-leopard (mid-transformation?) sipping at a forest pool as a dark and mysterious knight figure watches on his steed, a wagon and a low golden moon in the distance. A magical scenario with a sense of curses and menace and journeys.

December--Cybele's Secret--which is the cover illustration as well on this calendar. One of Craft's signature "chock full of lovely stuff" compositions, very detailed, cool blues and greens and also golds and whites. A visual delight for exploration of the intricacies.

Ah, I love my new calendar!!!

I have both of Mireille's books and love them. When I saw there was a calendar, I immediately ordered it. However, I was quite disappointed. Listed were birthdays of women such as Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot and Mireille herself. There were not as many extra tips and recipes as I was hoping for.

More NSFW than I expected. (2009-01-28)

I like erotica subtle, and this is not quite it. Some of it is too posed, too oiled and slick. The cover is very nice, and a few of the monthly images are as well. But not all.

Classy, beautifully put together (2008-11-01)

Renée Jacobs has done an incredible job in putting together a calendar that is both classy and timeless. Her appreciation for the female form is well-known, and presents a unique vision that transcends any simple glamour photography. She shows depth and tension well below the obviously attractive and beautiful surface, no small feat on any photographer's part. Her casting is immaculate, and her execution impeccable. This is as valuable as a coffee table book, only one that you can hang proudly on your living room wall.

Way to Break in 2009! (2008-10-31)

This calendar is a great nude calendar with taste and class. It's hard to find at local shops so buying on Amazon is easy, fast and convenient. I've always had a great appreciation for Black & White photography and this calendar is one of the best you'll find. The photographs are breathtaking and another great thing about this calendar is that after the year is over the images are of high enough quality to frame and hang on the wall. You won't regret this purchase!

Beautiful women, photographed beautifully (2008-10-17)

This calendar is exactly what it appears to be - a collection of art nudes sitting right on the line between "hot" and "artistic." There's no fine art pretension, nor is there tacky fake eroticism. I enjoy the balance of the mix and the girls are all beautiful and shown off to best effect by the photographer.

OMG ... JUST TOO FUNNY! (2009-02-16)

All these "Porn for Women" products are just hysterical! I gave the books and calenders to my sisters and friends for Christmas (and bought a set for myself). EVERY women just loved them and raved about them. A great, humorous, original, and unusual gift. Men don't care for them much, though - Hah! Highly recommend!

Loved this calendar!! Have given it as gifts to many of my female friends, all of whom have found it hilarious. One reason is because it is so right on. It is funny on so many levels - it says what many of us think, it pokes fun at men's obsession with porn - plus the models are downright yummy!! OK, seriously.. people who sit around and get offended by this crap, make me sick!!! it is no more offensive then the calenders with half naked or all naked women, that men like to hang up in their shops!! however these( products) are slightly different. Every women out there im sure wishes their significant other would do a little more even if they know it will never happen. I received this as a gift and have rarely been more offended. This is the most sexist thing I have ever seen in my life. Wonder what causes problems between men and women? It's the faulty expectations and hideous stereotypes perpetuated by crap like this for the sake a cheap joke and a quick buck. Please think about this "humor" and how harmful it is to men and women before giving your monetary support.

Not a masterpiece, but a fairly good photography book (2009-03-23)

I collect nude photography books, I have many. I must tell you, this particular book is not a masterpiece. Nevertheless, the book is above average, and some of the shots are amazing.

It does lack a real artistic subtext on the shoots, but they are beautiful, and unlike most books, there is quite a mixture of races (most books I've seen around tend to have almost exclusively Caucasian models). Also, a few shots are two-pagers, what tends to be a downer for me.

Well, the women were gorgeous (2008-11-12)

So, the women in this book were unbelieveable. I can't look at it for very long because the women are so hot and the photography is so outstanding. I'm a little sick over the total arousal of mind and body even with just the cover winking at me from the top left corner of the screen. Are we really worthy of such beauty?

If you like Picasso! (2010-04-25)

This calendar has some beautiful Picasso women in it. The only drawback is the nude paintings. I think they are super, but have a 16 year old at home. So edit it by leaving non nude pictures up. I highly recommend this to any Picasso admirer and those that want some of his art for little cost.
