...as far as I am concerned! Kinuko Y. Craft comes thru again! THIS IS ONE GLORIOUS CALENDAR! I agree 100% with everything reviewer "Miro" said.
BRAVO! Just breathe taking, beautiful. If you are a fan of her art YOU WILL NOT BE LET DOWN with this one. And if you are NOT a fan, you SHOULD be!

I expect it to be as gorgeous as last year's WOMEN OF ENCHANTMENT (2008-12-16)

Kinuko Y Craft is an exceptional fantasy artist. I have several novels on my shelf with her art on the cover--and her artwork always catches my eye in bookstores. I also own a coffee table book of her art. And in my bathroom, I have hanging last year's WOMEN OF ENCHANTMENT. The artwork is stunning--full of myth, magic, vibrant color, luminosity. Just a delight to look upon it shortly after waking. :)

The calendar boxes per day give enough room for one to jot down appointments and birthdays--as I do.

But it's all about the art. Bring some beauty into your new calendar year. :)

UPDATE: Okay, received my calendar 12/18, and here's the artwork on it:
January: Hermione--a mournful classical style female with Greek classic columns and a soft blue sea behind her. Reminds me of those 19th century sleepy women paintings.

February: Claire's Wings--dark foresty space surrounds a lovely, fair fairy giving off a golden glow as she admires her reflection in a pool. I've seen this image on other products--cards and bags. So, it must be one of Kinuko's popular ones.

March: Ozma of Oz--reminds me of Renaissance portraits. A lovely young woman in an elaborate gown in her room, a scepter and crown on a cushion beside her, and through a window, a castle high up with clouds behind.

April: The Queen of Icemark--Warrior woman with dramatic black horse and white leopard and battle scene behind. The leopard is stunning.

May: Sacred Ground--a peaceful seaside landscape with a Native American looking beauty (or maybe some fantasy ethnicity that's a cross between Indian (West and East) carrying a basket. A serene dawn time of day. Very nice.

June: Psyche Weeping--an interesting composition with a mournful tone, a lot of dark greens and black as we look at a pool reflection of Psyche with her head in her hand,w eeping. We don't see her, only her reflection.

July: The Barque of Frailty--A moonlit night on a street reminiscent of Prof. Higgins' street in MY FAIR LADY, but a woman in Empire white gown and gold shawl lieson the stone stree, letters scatterd about her and flying up in a breeze. She is so pale, may be dead (or fainted). A beautiful, but tragic painting.

August--The Ghost of Netley--A woman in Regency white gown and airy shawl walks in the forest in moonlight.

September--Sleeping Beauty--She's awake and half-risen on her white silky bed, prince approaches, but attendants still slumber. Dark surrounding the central luminosity that is the blonde princess.

October--Water Sprite--a light-hearted painting suffused with early sunlight as a water sprite stands on pointe on the surface of the sea and a magical companion rides a butterfly alongside.

November--The Transformation of Angarred--One of my fave of Craft's works (one I've seen elsewhere and before) of a half-woman/half-leopard (mid-transformation?) sipping at a forest pool as a dark and mysterious knight figure watches on his steed, a wagon and a low golden moon in the distance. A magical scenario with a sense of curses and menace and journeys.

December--Cybele's Secret--which is the cover illustration as well on this calendar. One of Craft's signature "chock full of lovely stuff" compositions, very detailed, cool blues and greens and also golds and whites. A visual delight for exploration of the intricacies.

Ah, I love my new calendar!!!

Beautiful Pictures - and for a Good Cause (2010-02-09)

A friend sent me the 2009 calendar from Australia (as they weren't shipping internationally) last year.

The pictures are full size, and very nice to look at. There are two available pictures per month.

And it all goes to a good cause.

I loved last years, and love this years. I'll continue to buy this every year it's done.

I bought all three calendars in 2009....and they were just magnificent, especially the Williams brothers...NOTHING can take aware their beauty...just stunning men...as most of them...BUT why NO 2010 calendar???....I am sure this series was a money maker worldwide!!....OH well!!

FINALLY A "REAL MEN" CALENDAR (2009-10-06)

I thought this calendar was a bit pricy when I place my order BUT after I received it today I would have paid TRIPLE the price. FINALLY a Calendar of STRAIGHT Rugged REAL MEN unlike those phony pretty gay boy calendars....or ever the supposedly "Ruff and Tuff" Bear Men...You can TELL they are ALL a bunch of fruits. THIS Calendar does NOT have any full frontal nudity which is SUPER. I found it MORE of a turn on to wonder what was under the towels and footballs. OHHHHH I nearly fainted with each page I turned. BIG Photos, BIG Calendar, HIGH Quality Paper, HIGH resolution photos. I ordered the DVD too! I am NOT into pornography and if YOU are......then pass this by. It IS SEXUAL and Turned me ON more than any photos, dvd's or books ever have. The guys are rugged yet beautiful...do NOT pass this up. Can't find it here......go to ebay! Not what you would like to see (2009-07-31)

From the front page you can have an idea of what you can expect inside the calendar: only football balls, nothing else. They do not show the men like they fully are. If you are looking for a male nude, go to other place. In this calendar, you only will see those ordinary male muscles, nothing else.

Invest in one of these now (2009-06-22)

I was looking for a good "Man" calendar and found this by mistake. Amazing photos and good looking Men make this a standout. Great for party conversation too.

Nice calendar for kindle (2010-01-13)

This is a nice calendar for the kindle. The 12 month calendar is small and you can't see the months though, which is why I gave it 4 stars. By hitting next page from there you go to the month by month. Very nice.

Absolutely Beautiful... (2008-12-24)

This calendar is absolutely beautiful. It's hard to even choose a favorite picture because they're all so breathtaking. In this calendar there are cottages, churches, mountain picture with a cabin, a city street with houses on the side, a pond with a gazebo, a lighthouse & more. If you are a Thomas Kincade fan (or even if you're new to it) I'd highly recommend this gorgeous calendar.

Jewish Calendar (2010-05-01)

This calendar has beautiful pictures, statues and art work and comes with a little piece of written history. I like how the calendar gives just enough room for me to take notes. This is my second year buying this product.

my favorite desk calendar ever! (2010-02-19)

This is the third year I've purchased this desk calendar. It's been the only one I can find with a week that begins on Sunday, and that's kind of important to me. I'm not Jewish, though I have deep appreciation of the Jewish faith. But I love the gorgeous photos of various works of Jewish art - from antique pieces right up through modern art paintings. The photos are - like the rest of the calendar - high quality. These calendars hold up well, have plenty of room for writing each day's activities, and are such a joy to browse through for the art, too. I wholeheartedly recommend The Jewish Calendar (engagement calendar)!

Not as nice as previous years (2010-01-08)

I used to buy this calendar every year, but won't do it again without seeing it. This year's has more pictures, but the paper is not nearly as nice, and the lack of the fold-over front and back covers removes the handy "bookmark" feature it used to have. The photos of art this year are not as well-done, and sort of haphazardly thrown onto the pages. I'd rather return to the well selected, fewer photos, on thicker stock with the nicer cover, than have more photos and less quality.

I did like that this was a 16-month Jewish calendar; those were very difficult to find this year.

I believe I saw a review that said this gives equal space to Jewish and non-Jewish holidays (Haloween being as conspicuous, for instance). My opinion is very different. I find this to be one of the best calendars for thorough "Jewish" information (from parshanot to candle lighting times, and future holiday dates), with "non-Jewish" information alongside. On one side of each page is the Hebrew calendar, on the other is the Gregorian, and yes it just happens to mention other holidays from Haloween to Canada's Boxing Day. Hebrew dates and holidays are not less conspicuous, and it's nice to have some warning when the stores might be closed (or whatever) because it's a Christian holiday!

CANT TELL HOW BIG (2009-01-18)

I can't tell how big the calendar is and it has really been slow delivery..oredered 1/03 and still not here. I cannot locate the size of the one either. They sent 2 desk calendars..both identical inside and different boxes. I am wanting a large wall calendar different than the one I already bought but am having a harder time with Amazon. Way too many clicks to "those who bought this also bought.."
Disappointed.

Mary Engelbreit Brings Out the Child in Everyone (2008-12-26)

I have been purchasing Mary Engelbreit calendars for many, many years. Each year she has made each day and month (I purchase numerous different calendars of ME) special. ME artwork is refreshing to the young and not-so-young. ME is the perfect artist who brings out happiness, family, friendship, and/or love in every picture. It's enjoyable to see the calendars on the wall, in my purse, or on my desk. I also have saved each calendar every year for scrapbooking. It's another fun way to scrapbook. I adore ME and do not plan on missing one year of her collections.
