Don't plan to hang it by the sturdy metal hook. (2010-02-10)
I am constantly pulling my calendar off the wall hook to write things on it, and liked this calendar because it has a sturdy metal hook and spiral binding. Unfortunately it is not really designed to hang by its sturdy and easy-to-use hook. The way the weeks are printed, you end up with every other week hanging upside down! You have to use the very non-sturdy 2 holes and view 2 weeks at a time if you don't want to have every other week hang upside down. I'm very disappointed. I'd return it if I hadn't written all over it before I realized that logistical problem. I had a similar wall calendar from Real Simple last year that was a much better design. Unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere this year. I wouldn't recommend this one as a replacement.
BusyBodyBook Calendar (2009-12-12)
I love this calendar! Having a separate column for each member of my family is fantastic! I can see at a glance everything that's going on a certain day for each person and it truly helps keep us all on schedule and there's so much room to write down important items and information. I have 5 children so this calendar is a must. I've tried many different ways of scheduling and like this the best.
Most helpful calendar ever (2009-11-27)
This may be our family's most useful non-appliance item! All five of us check it every day. The kids will remind me, for example, to send a note for the teacher because they have a playdate, or bring snack for the girl scout meeting. We often have overlapping activities or tricky soccer game logistics, and the calendar makes this clear ahead of time so we can work it out.
Our names label the vertical columns, and the dates label the horizontal rows, which is different from an regular calendar, but easy to get used to and much more practical for a family. Each family member has a large square for each day, and the calendar displays two weeks at a time. There are two extra columns, one of which we use for events including the whole family, and one for meal planning. There is also space at the bottom of each week for To-Do lists etc.
Highly recommended!
A Family of Five Wonder (2009-10-06)
what a great organization tool. There is a column for everyone plus a couple at the end for weekly and monthly chores...I love it.

Very Handy! (2009-06-03)
Very nice. I like the separate columns that can be used for each family member. The perforated blank lists included in the back of the book are handy (for to-do lists or shopping lists) along with a small pocket in the book for storing the lists, receipts, etc. The planner comes with a book mark/divider that attaches to the spiral binding to mark the current week and has a ruler on one side and matching cover pattern on the other side. The plastic cover is wonderful for all those spills and sticky hands that get a hold of my planner! It's a good size for keeping in my purse and overall it's a really cute design. A great planner for homeschool moms or moms with several kids who have different schedules.
I feel organized for the first time (2009-03-24)
With two kids, a house and backyard renovation under way, and two busy parents, we were always running into trouble forgetting important dates and creating conflicting schedules. No more. Now every Sunday evening after dinner, we all discuss what's coming up that week and make sure we have everything covered. The to-do list next to each week page is wonderful for all those things that need to get done at some point (like scheduling apoointments or buying cards), but not by a specific date.
pleasing appt. calendar notebook (2009-02-16)
This is very nice appt. calender book, keep track of important appointments and has plenty of room to write notes on the side. I like it alot.
Great calendar and good price. (2009-02-12)
I really like this calendar. We have four children and it has been great to keep all our schedules with plenty of room for info like "bring snack," "home jersey," etc. It's a good size for the desk but fits in my large purse. There is a hard plastic cover that protects it, and I love that it's spiral bound. After a busy few months, it's held up great.
Couldn't ask for much more (2009-01-31)
I love this organizer! It has pockets on the covers to hold extra little things you need to carry around, little to do lists in the back, and AMPLE writing space! The only thing it doesn't have is any space for pictures, the organizer I used last year had a lot of space for pictures but it was completely sold out with this huge wait time! Other than that you really couldn't ask for more in an organizer... and for the PRICE!! GREAT BUY!

$12.99A superstar, just like Mom herself. What is it about this bestselling calendar? Is it those irresistible cows, hippos, chicks, penguins, and piggies skipping and prancing through the pages? Mom’s starts in September and runs 16 full months. Spreads feature an oversized, vertical grid with five columns across (one for each family member) and the days of the month running down the left side. With just a glance, Mom and Dad can see who is doing what, and when. Includes a new drop-down storage pocket, plus 500 stickers and a write-on, wipe-off magnetic phone list for the fridge.

Don't like format (2009-12-12)
We didn't like the vertical format. Also, I thought the pictures were a little annoying.
Mom's Family Calendar (2009-11-22)
I love these calendars. I have used them for several years. You have space to write down everyone in the family and keep track of their appointments or work schedules. It's great.
Great calendar for raising a maestro (2009-09-13)
Is the creator a cabaret performer or something?? You get stickers for recitals, dance, music, concerts, rehearsals, shows but not a single one for exercise or sports other than practice or game and apparently no busy moms go to lunch, have a girl's night out, cook, clean, go grocery shopping, do laundry or go to church or have any church activities and forget about scouts.
Great calender if you or your children are only into the performing arts other than that...forget about it.
Fun & usable (2009-04-16)
Great calendar, with lot of space to write daily tasks and hundreds of stickers to use, now with pocket to put $$$ in it :-) and, of course, with erasable magnetic fridge phone list. My boy loves it, neighbours and other parents and kids too. We still have last year's Mom's Family Calendar because last page has 3 years calendar. Highly recommended!
indispensible for moms (2009-02-24)
Whether you are a mom or not, if you have to keep track of up to 5 people's schedules this is the perfect calendar for you. There is a separate column for each individual. These can be marked with cute stickers for birthdays, parties, games, practices, recitals and even medical appointments. Each month has adorable animals: hippos, lions, rabbits, pigs and cows. Even on your most hectic days it'll bring a smile to your face.

No Calendar (2009-06-19)
Ordered this calendar three months ago, only for it to be delayed and delayed and delayed and finally canceled by amazon because they can't actually get it from the company that makes it. I tried ordering directly through the company and they said it would be delayed until August. What's the point of getting a calendar that starts in August if you're not even going to receive it until halfway through that month? If you can wait a while to get it, it might be a fine product, but the hassle of ordering it wasn't worth it for me.
Organization at it's Best! (2009-02-09)
It took some time to get used to the outline because everyone is so accustomed to looking across at dates but this calendar is very helpful for our large family. A great investment!
2009 busybodybook wall calendar (2009-01-30)
This calendar is very disfunctional. Very difficult to use. There are too many pages to go through. I also prefer the days of week on top of page. I threw it out and had to purchase a different one.
Took some getting used to, but now I couldn't do without it. (2009-01-29)
When you're used to viewing an entire month at a time and the weeks from left to right, this calendar can be a challenge at first. The calendar is organized in two week increments, one week to a page and the days go down the page instead of across. I quickly caught on though, and I'm able to keep the entire family organized. With seven columns, there's plenty of room (and then some) for all our appointments and activities. Great for large families like ours!
Very Nice Once You Get Used to the Format (2009-01-12)
This calendar took a bit of getting used to, but once I did, I found it actually more useful than typical calendars. The week begins with Monday, and each page is a week, and the days go from top to bottom, with boxes to the right of each day. I write out two hour blocks for each box, and it really helps visually look at what the day is like. The boxes are good a nice size. The only thing I don't care for is that there are no lines to write on in the boxes. I imagine it is so that someone with very small handwriting can write a lot more if they want. I really like this calendar, and plan to purchase one like it each year from now on.

Very Nice idea for a person who loves cooking (2009-01-07)
My wife loves to cook and is really into using spices... This calendar was perfect. She loved it... Nice pictures with cool information. Thumbs up!
Gorgeous spice calendar (2008-09-18)
This calendar offers really beautiful images of spices, but most importantly to me the text is informative. It contains rare stories about the spices as well as their histories and ways to use them in dishes, and how to pair with wines! We love this calendar and it looks like art in our kitchen.

Perfect family calendar -- no 2010 version :-( (2010-01-12)
This is the ultimate family planner:
* looks great with the nice colors, no hokey drawings
* 5 columns, to write down the activities of each family member
* price is great
Downsides:
* Better Home and Garden decided to not make a 2010 version.
So for 2010 we switched to 'Mom's monthly family planner 2010'. Which unfortunately has goofy drawings, but still gets the job done.
Love it (2009-06-05)
Great for any family. Helps keep us organized and my son can't use the "I forgot" excuse when it comes to chores.

$12.99It's a calendar, a planner, and so much more. Combining organizational finesse with zesty Boynton illustrations, Mom's Family Desk Planner goes everywhere and anywhere Mom does. And now this planner runs a full 16 months, beginning boldly when school starts in September 2008, and ending gracefully on New Year's Eve 2009.
On the lefthand side of each spread is an emissary from the Boynton menagerie to brighten your week (a cat, a rhino, a penguin, the obligatory cow). On the righthand side, there's a week-at-a-glance grid with two generously-sized write-in columns, one for Mom's schedule, one for the family's comings and goings.
Section 2 of the desk planner features space for important phone numbers—from doctors to school contacts to restaurants. Then there are tear-out grocery and to-do lists, and some extra pages for scribbling down important and/or inconsequential things. And stickers! Put them on special dates, or perhaps use them to lavishly decorate your tax return. After all, Moms need to have fun too.

Great Item (2009-03-02)
I love this planner. This is the second year that I have purchased the same item. It is useful, a convenient size, colorful and easy to find, and fun (lots of cute stickers and to do lists, etc). You'll love it.
THE best planner for busy moms!! (2009-02-27)
This is such a great product! I received the 2008 version for a gift. When January came around I just had to get the 2009 version (which actually has some of 2008 in it). I have three kids that have sports practices, frequent doctor's appointments, and I do a lot of volunteering. This is a great planner to keep it all organized for me. It has great shopping lists that you can tear out and places to write little notes to yourself (I do wish that there were more note-taking pages). I never get to use the cute stickers because my kids get to them first and use them to make me "art." This is an-almost perfect product. I will continue buying it every year!!
Must have for all Mom's!!! (2009-02-19)
Mom's who have more than one child, who work, are married, have children that play sports, who have doctor apts, etc., have to have his product. I have used it for 2 years now, and i don't think I could function without it....
Boyton Mom's Family Calendar (2009-01-26)
This is a great calendar that always makes me smile when I use it. I've had one for at least three years and have finally gotten used to its layout which is different from other calendars in that the dates are on the side of each month and you cetegorize and mark appts. etc. according to who in the family they affect. I have to admit that it did take me some time to get used to that format but now I and all of my family members are very used to it and find it convenient. The other thing we love are all the fun animal stickers with the inimitable Boynton silliness. We use certain stickers as reminders and others just to decorate. We always end up with plenty of left-over stickers and use them on envelopes, etc. I would highly recommend this calendar and love Boynton's humor and fun illustrations throughout. I will be using the Mom's Family Calendar for years to come and would feel lost without it.
Just what I needed! (2009-01-23)
I am a BIG fan of daytimers - I've carried one for years. I've had different styles, different sizes and spent countless hours customizing it to my needs. Recently, however, with the addition of step children, I have found that I really don't have the room to carry a daytimer loaded with stuff I might not need for day to day management. This mom's calendar does the trick! Not only does it have a couple of handy pockets to toss coupons or receipts in - but it has just enough room (one week per page) with some great humor added in! There's plenty of room to keep track of everyone's events, schedules, appointments etc without being too bulky. It's a great size that I have no problem carrying and has simplied life a ton for us! The tear off grocery lists in the back are awesome and the notes sections are great. On a side note, it's nice to see that someone finally recongizes that there are those of us who will write whever we can on the page - whether it be sideways or upside down - thanks!
