Beautiful and Hillarious! (2008-12-27)

I bought this calendar for my father in a nursing home, to give him a few chuckles. It is now hanging on his wall and is a daily topic of conversation for his nurses and other visitors! This calendar is made of excellent quality paper with 5 star photography, I am ordering another one for myself! It's great for any animal lover, the photos are sure to bring laughter to your day.

Absolutely beautiful! (2009-02-05)

I ordered this book to "alter" as a papercrafts/scrapbooking project. It's almost too beautiful to amend, but it worked out nicely. The quality is excellent.

Pretty & Practical (2009-01-22)

This is a lovely book made to look just like an antique ledger. The inside is organized with three dates on each page. Each entry is just big enough to use as a desk planner or as a journal entry. It is a beautiful book that would also be fun to use as an altered art object.

This is the third year I've purchased this type of Andrews McMeel calendar. It has a pleasing, old-fashioned, slow-down-and-enjoy-this-moment quality. As others have said, the paper is substantial and pleasant to write on. I appreciate that it gives as much space for Saturdays and Sundays as for weekdays. The book generally seems meant more for personal notes than workaday planning. I use the books for jotting down notes about the preceding day. I find that there is just enough space allotted for each day.

Second year using calendar in this series. Like the format : long and lean, hard to misplace; plenty of room to write notes and appointments; fine paper quality, takes pen beautifully. I would have been happier to have some extra pages for general jottings. As it is, there's not one to spare.

LOVE THIS CALENDAR - GETTING ANOTHER FOR 2010 !!! (2009-12-13)

We had this calendar for 2009 and it is WONDERFUL! We loved the bird songs and so did our cat. Can't recommend it highly enough. For those few who say the songs did not work - RETURN THE CALENDAR AS IT IS DEFECTIVE AND GET ANOTHER ONE. The songs are real recordings of the birds - one for each month, and the calendar is put together beautifully - very wonderful to use as a calendar as well - Clean, simple lines - beautiful artwork of the birds with interesting information about them on each page. This would make a /wonderful/ gift for anyone who is into nature or birds at all. It is a very calming calendar to have around.

The calendar runs on a lithium battery which lasted fine the whole year (you can't see it unless you really look for where it is hidden on the bottom strip) It has very high quality recordings of bird songs. The speaker in the calendar is excellent as well. The battery lasted all year even though we randomly would push the different buttons whenever we felt like it to hear some bird song all year long. I will save this calendar (for the bird songs) and just replace the battery someday if ever we have to. Fabulous product, very professionally put together - I will purchase a new one every year. Highly recommend. If you get it from Amazon, and there is anything wrong with it - they will gladly replace it.

If you are a teacher - WHAT A GREAT TEACHING AIDE - your class will love it. If you are a parent - your kids will love it. If you are a grandparent - your grand children will love it. I too, do not know why someone did not think of this product earlier. In our house - we have a category for this kind of purchase. We call it a "BEST BUY".

Bird Songs 2009 Wall Calendar
I love my calendar!
Each month has a beautiful drawing and description of a bird. The daily spaces are large enough to write appointments,etc.
But the best part are the 12 "buttons" below the calendar which, when each is pressed, sends a different melodic sound through the air.
I also gave this as a gift to a group of nuns at the local convent, and they are enjoying it so much. Just what is needed during the cold, snow winter!

This is a great entertainment and educational tool, and I just wish it had been around while my son was young. Though he is grown now, it is still a great tool. Information on the birds, their habitat and habits, with the songs very clear. Even if you are not after education, it is wonderful to hear the birdsong when you want.
Very enjoyable and attractive and it keeps my cat entertained, too.

Why 2 nails to hang this calendar??? (2009-06-17)

The calendar comes with two holes for hanging. Weird! I punched a center hole so that I could re-use the hook that I've used for decades to hang all of my previous calendars. Other than that, I love the calendar, but think that the hanging method should be standarized.

Such an awesome calendar! (2009-03-07)

I love this calendar, it's a must for me every year. It's such a mood-lifter every time I look at my wall. I can be having a really bad day and just look over at the calendar and feel relief. The pictures they select are adorable. You wish you could just reach into the calendar and pet the cute little puppies. It's a perfect size too with the daily squares large enough to note appointments and holidays on. If you have any dog lovers in your family, it makes for a fantastic gift too. I have gotten many squeals of joys over it when I've gifted it.

Selling a 2009 calendar iin 2010??? (2010-03-05)

I bought this lovely calendar in January 2010, not realizing it was last year's 2009 version.
Why this would be for sale with all the other 2010 calendars is beyond me, they're great pictures, but still...
Pretty frustrated when I received it and noticed my error, yes, I know it was my error.
More warning perhaps?!

Best thing I bought in 2008 ! (2008-11-08)

I bought the Turtles 2008 calendar, and enjoy it every morning as I get dressed to go to work. My family had ~10 desert tortoises when I was growing up, and have since always loved tortoises/turtles. This calendar was a joy, and I look forward to enjoying the 2009 edition!
