$6.95This is a coin collector’s dream folder! Not only does it have a space for every state’s quarter—arranged according to year—but now it has slots for the six brand-new quarters that the United States Mint is issuing. These latest coins will honor the District of Columbia, along with five U.S. territories: the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Not only will this handy folder help collectors hold on to these special keepsakes, but it includes a description of the Commemorative Coin Program; the new District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories programs; a history of the United States Quarter Dollar; details on how the designs were chosen; and an account of how coins are manufactured by the Mint and distributed by the Federal Reserve Bank.

Awesome Illustrational Guide (2009-01-27)
You know, I know nothing about origami, but this book is pretty good at teaching you what you need to know to get from a flat piece of paper to a bunch of interesting things. Through wonderfully accurate illustration it shows you how to make everything from crosses, to frogs, to various kinds of birds and flowers, to pigs and boats. I've just been ignoring the calendar part and folding at my leisure. I'm actually in the month of May already and feel like I'm on a PHD origami program.
Some of the days are harder than others, but I think that adds to the variety.
(2/11/09 update) Oh, I forgot to mention. Some of the origami looks awful if you use the calendar page from the day before because of all the writing on it. If you really like a particular construction, find some paper without writing that's colored on one side and white on the other.
My 10 year old son loves it (2009-01-26)
Fun projects for each weekday. Teaches various folds and builds on that knowledge. Tips on the weekends.

Fun, but paper is cheap quality and not square (2009-02-17)
I have used a different origami desk calendar the past few years and wanted a change as they had become repetitive so I bought this version. To date, the folds have been fun but the paper is not your typical smooth origami-style and is not fully square. Instructions and folding techniques are very good though.
Repetitious from prebious years (2009-02-04)
So, about four years ago I needed a page-a-day calendar at work and it was three weeks into the new year. So, when I went to the closest (over-priced) bookstore to see what they had, it was Origami or the Bible verse of the day...not being very religious I went with the Origami. I bought it thinking I'd never do the models and just have it on my day to know which date it is...then I started doing the models and before long the whole office was fighting over who got to do the daily models. They were fun, and helped me to entertain my young nieces once. I rate it lower because I just bought this again, and it seems like the exact same models just in a slightly different order. So, if you've never bought one of these, it's cool but if you've already worked through one it gets repetitious unless you had some sort of brain injury in the intervening years and can't remember what you did.
Lots of fun (2009-01-07)
What's great about the calendar: You use yesterday's page to fold today's origami. The paper is colored and has the correct size. I love it. The variety of models is wide.
What's poor: There's nothing to fold on weekends. You only get some helpful advice or basic stuff about origami. So I have nothing to do on the weekends when I'd have tons of time to try difficult folds. My husband has the paper plane calendar and he got two (!) planes to fold last weekend.
Nevertheless I'd buy the calendar again.
Cute (2008-11-02)
Easy to fold models with nice different patterns. I just could'nt wait to 1/1/2009, and it's now the new hit around the office. For the origami lovers it will be boring.

get them online for free, don't waste your money, liars about a pattern a day (2009-11-20)
Since the majority of these patterns can be found online for free, and many of the patterns are spread over many days, you end up with about 30 patterns that could be called something worth paying for.
Can't a company be sued for claiming they have a pattern a day, when clearly the weekends are shared and other patterns are shared also.
I am bitterly disappointed the the 'pattern of the day' calendar publishers, and that runs across the board, the crochet ones, the knit ones, and the bead ones.
I think I will find 365 patterns online, that hold my interest and save them in Word, and make my own for no more cost than the electricity to run the computer.
Please do not waste your money buying this, and even more pleases, do not offend a loved on by giving this as a gift.
I am wondering why the yarn companies are allowing this company to use their patterns, a private designer/maker gives up all rights to the patterns they send in. And they get no payment for the patterns.
These publishers know a good deal when they can fool yarn lovers.
If I could give negative stars for these calendars, I would.
Basically they are selling something to you, that you can get free. Designers and makers that lose all copy rights as soon as they send in the patterns, should be aware that they can do better spiral binding a lot of their designs and selling that book on Amazon.
I will not be buying the 2010 calendar.
The Most Fun on My Desk (2009-09-12)
The knitting calendar on my desk is the most fun I can have while still working. There is a new pattern every day or 2 or 3. (Some patterns occupy multiple pages) I have used several of the patterns and have saved many more for future projects. I look forward to seeing what is new each day and try not to peak ahead. I will be ordering next year and the year after that and the year after that .......
Kniting Calendar 2009 (2009-03-17)
I enjoyed flipping through the year and seeing all the patterns available. There are more than enough for a beginning knitter like me and there are many more advanced patterns too.
Just okay... (2009-02-23)
I have the 2008 calendar and really enjoyed it. Lots of cute patterns. So, I was looking forward to the 2009 calendar. If I had been able to look through it before purchasing it, I wouldn't have. This year's calendar is not nearly as good as last years. A lot of the patterns are from large pattern companies(from free patterns off their sites) rather than from individuals. I liked the patterns that came from the average everyday knitter--they were cute and things that I would like to make. There are some nice patterns, but overall, I was disappointed.
knitting calendar (2009-02-03)
The new patterns everyday give insipiration and add to imagination. I love not knowing what's coming until the next day. I've been known to change to the next day and go to the store if I don't already have what I need to complete it!!

Great calendar that could use better quality production (2009-07-01)
This calendar, like so many others, has a project a day, and gives the reader a nice set of new skills at the end of the year, if all the projects are done in order. Unfortunately, if you have to work to support yourself and your beads, you will not have time to do a project every day. And therein lies the problem: this calendar doesn't provide a way to keep old project pages in any kind of order.
Indeed, my copy was so badly put together that the tiny amount of glue used to hold the top together split, littering my floor with calendar pages. Eventually, I got all the pages gathered and back together, with staples holding each multi-page project. It was an ugly and less than useful way of keeping my calendar, which was rendered unusable for anything but collecting projects.
However, if the publishers had merely wire bound the calendar along the top, I would have been able to use the calendar for the many uses it was intended to fulfill. For 2010, I hope that the publisher chooses to bind the calendar a little mre durable. If not, I will have to pass on this untidy stack of little bead projects.
Fun to have a new project a day to make. (2009-01-31)
This is a fun calendar with a new project daily. While I don't make each one, it's a nice box presentation to keep them in for future reference after the year is over too.
The gift you should give yourself! (2009-01-02)
If you are looking around for a great beading gift to give yourself, you've found it! For less than the price of 2 magazines you have a year's worth of beading projects, tips & tricks and eye candy. I was pleased to see a nice mixture of classic stitches, including dedicated how-to pages printed on a nice heavy index stock. Along with basic stringing, wirework and chainmaille projects you will find a little something for everyone of all tastes and skill levels. The size of the calendar page is 7" 5.5", making the amply illustrated pages easy to read and convenient to pack in a travel beader's kit.
None of the projects are terribly complex and should work up quickly as gifts for grateful family and friends.
This is my 3rd Bead-to-Day Calendar, I love them! (2008-12-28)
This is a very useful item, I use it every day. There is a lot of reference material and new projects
Bead-A-Day Calendar (2008-11-16)
I think you have outdone it this time around. This year (2009) is fantastic. Much better then last years. So Many more Beautiful patterns to do. It is truly worth buying it.

All in one easy scrapbooking kit! (2009-01-16)
I hate day-to-day calendars because you just waste the pages but this one is so cool! My mom gave it to me for Christmas and I'm having so much fun already. This calendar is brilliant and really a value too, given the cost of background and texture papers. I have done scrapbooking and own tons of supplies tools, etc... but it's so messy and time consuming. I have a baby and hadn't even started his baby book because I was intimidated by the task.
With this calendar I have beautiful instant borders and design elements ready to go. It's just a photo a day! Easy to keep up with. I just keep my 12x12 paper trimmer, scissors, tape and glue sticks on my desk. I cut out the interior then I have a frame and design element. It's already coordinated for me too. I have a page in minutes!
Scrapbooking is fun and easy again. I would buy this calendar next year!

Card Calender a disappointment (2010-02-23)
The cards are a pain to make and I didn't like the fact that it wasn't a day to day calender. The calender had 3 days on one card. I reordered my favorite Scrapbook Calender instead. At least I have more control of the cards that I want to make. I would not recommend this calender at all!
Calender (2010-01-27)
Calender comes with three days per page. I can understand why they do that as it is so thick using card stock but wish I had known prior to purchase.
Unique and Fun (2009-01-23)
The cards in this calender are really adorable. There is a page for Mon-Wed and Thurs-Sun. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wish more of the cards were the "special" ones. There are 4 different types of "special" cards and an instruction card that lists each type. They are pop out, tent, double dose and fold out. These cards are especially nice but they are scattered throughout the calender. The other days are simple cards that fold and are blank in the center (ok) and other little pop out pictures (ok if I'm making OTHER cards.) It also includes 2 templates for a smaller and larger envelope (both much smaller than standard letter size. The envelope templates seem to fit most of the cards the calender makes and of course you could enlarge on a copier. As for the calender part of it, the dates aren't very big so I can't see it very well across my (VERY small) office but I have another calender for that. If you're looking for something fun, this is a good purchase. If you want a functional calender (place to write dates, etc.) you might want to look elsewhere. There are 2 cards included to write a few things down for each month but not much space.
Cute, but "cards" are small (2009-01-20)
The "cards" created by this calendar are very small, more like a card you would use for a gift enclosure than a card you would send through the mail.
That said, the graphics are beautiful and the cards are well organized by seasonal themes. The designs in the cards coordinate with the stickers in the Sticker-a-day calendar published by the same company, which is a nice bonus.

She loves it! (2010-01-17)
I got this for my girlfriend for my Christmas, and I just have to say - you gotta love a girl who digs paper airplanes!
No but really, this is a great little calendar. The instructions for each airplane are printed on the back of the next month's plane, so you aren't wasting paper. I thought that was pretty cool.
Enjoy!
Annoyance repeated (2009-08-28)
Don't buy this calendar it is a trick! All of the reviews come from people who have not owned it for more than a month. Every year after the first month the calendar starts over and you have to make all the same planes again! The directions are frequently confusing or erroneous and only about half of the planes make it more than 5 feet.
Quite a dissapointment.
They put in just enough planes to make it past the one month warranty.
cool gift for the guy who has everything (2009-08-28)
I bought this calendar for my brother in law, who is a pilot. He has had such fun making the planes and sharing with his kids. I think it makes a great gift for guys who have everything...we all need a calendar. Why not a FUN one!!
Senior (Over-Age-50) Party Activity (2009-07-11)
I bought this product to use as an activity at a club social for people over 50. I held the party at Solo's (The Airplace Restaurant) here in Colorado Springs. Folding the airplanes (even the simplest) was much too difficult for seniors -- we range in age from 50 - 84. I should have gone with "make an airplane like you did in elementary school" then I would have had more participation in the "flying" competition that I held later in the evening. This kind of activity was an experiment on my part . . . one that worked somewhat but not as well as what I had envisioned. I will say that my grandson and son-in-law are having great fun with the fold-a-plane-a-day calendar because they inherited the product after my party. Margo Lucey, The Breakfast Club Dinner Hostess.
My 8 year old longs this! (2009-02-08)
I got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. My husband and him make a new plane every morning first thing. Unfortunately he will not throw any of them out. He is going to have a HUGE box of planes by the end of the year.
