$6.95This is a coin collector’s dream folder! Not only does it have a space for every state’s quarter—arranged according to year—but now it has slots for the six brand-new quarters that the United States Mint is issuing. These latest coins will honor the District of Columbia, along with five U.S. territories: the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Not only will this handy folder help collectors hold on to these special keepsakes, but it includes a description of the Commemorative Coin Program; the new District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories programs; a history of the United States Quarter Dollar; details on how the designs were chosen; and an account of how coins are manufactured by the Mint and distributed by the Federal Reserve Bank.

The quarters fit!!! (2010-04-07)
My kids are collecting all of the coins. This is the first folder we have found that doesn't drive us crazy trying to get them in the slot. They fit perfectly!

stitch in a week calendar (2009-03-25)
I love this calendar! It has all kinds of themes for the year...alphabet, oriental symbols that are gorgeously done but small, animals, samplers....lots of fun! I had to do the rooster on the cover (on vinyl) and now he's done for my kitchen.
The charts don't say what color to use for fabric, but the pictures are very clear so it's obvious. Such great charts....very flexible/adaptable. I'll buy one for next year, too, even if I don't do many small projects. The inspiration is priceless.
Great Value (2009-01-29)
Excellent value. Very good patterns. This is the second year that I have purchased. It is better than the first.
a pleasent surprise (2008-12-28)
This is the first time I buy the day to day calendar, and was pleasently surprised with the charts. very nice, easy and quick to stitch. around 80% are on my list. deffinetally will buy next year as well. recommend for any one looking for quich and small charts to stitch.
Great Crossstitch daily calendar! (2008-09-13)
I really like this cross-stitch a-day calendar!!! Easy directions. Very inspiring. 365 designs! Colorful. Something for everyone...
Wow! What a great set of patterns! (2008-08-20)
Every year for the past three years, I have bought myself the Cross Stitch Calendar. At first it was because I was just looking for more patterns to add to my collection, and last year it was because I was already used to having a new pattern a day to look at. However, I was very disappointed by the 2008 calendar. Many of the patterns were complicated, sometimes requiring as many as 25 different thread colors (Expensive on a college budget) and many of the patterns were too `Country Chic' for my tastes.
Happily, I decided to try one more time and I bought the 2009 Cross Stitch Calendar. Immediately I opened it and looked over all the images, and I was blown away. Firstly, many of the images are visually stunning. Many of the images are more modern than previous calendars. There are flowers, alphabets, samplers, and images for all holidays. In particular, Halloween has a skull and cross bones that is just plain cool, and perfect to add to a messenger bag! Also, most of the patterns only require about five colors of thread, making them much more financially possible on a budget.
As always, there is a full color image of the completed cross stitch on the front of the day, and the back contains the black and white pattern key. The weekend card tells you which colors of DMC thread you will need to complete the work. In the front of the box is a key showing the colors of all the DMC threads if you want to make substitutions, and it has cards with the months so you can write down important dates and birthdays.
This is the perfect calendar for anyone who is interested in cross stitch and it would make a great present. It has patterns for all levels, but the vast majority of these would be suitable for a beginner or anyone who is pressed for time (most of us are these days).
Highly recommended for cross stitch and craft fans!

American Quilters Society 2009 Calendar (2009-03-22)
American Quilter's Society 2009 Calendar
I have a sister-in-law who quilts and is quite advanced. Has everything having to do with quilting. I, in contrast, know so little about quilting that I hardly know which end of the needle to use. However, at Christmas each year I know I can find her a relevant gift with this calendar. The brilliantly reproduced quilts on each page are as diverse as their quilters probably are; a very attractive calendar.

Save your money...pass this one by (2010-04-16)
The patterns were very unfashionable....just because it is crochet, it does not have to be ugly. Waste of money, although my co workers thought I may make some of the items as a Xmas gift, they were nicer to me.
Disappointing (2010-01-18)
I have been buying these calendars every year and I think it is a great idea to have a crochet calendar but the pattern a day thing is misleading. I think that idea could be achieved with quick and easy things to crochet or at least something that is not long and drawn out on paper, anyway. I could have bought this calendar at a book store last year for $1.00 sometime after the new year but I had already purchased elsewhere for a few bucks over that amount. I found patterns in the calendar that I liked but there are a lot of patterns that have been added to the calendar that are either already published in another book or can be obtained for free on the internet and some patterns I have picked up at my local craft store for free. So what is up with that?? How about not selling us patterns that we can obtain for free? There are some unknowns in the calendar but not enough to warrant the full price that many people are paying.
2009 Crochet Calendar (2009-03-23)
Not one a day patterns as in some of the previous years. Patterns are spread out over more than one day. A nice gift for the crocheter, however and I also got one for myself.
great gift! (2009-03-23)
This calendar Crochet Pattern-a-Day: 2009 Day-to-Day Calendar was a gift for a friend who is an experienced knitter, but wanted to learn how to crochet - I am a crocheter who is just starting knitting and I have the Knit-a-pattern-a-day calendar and love it! I plan to get this calendar every year -
Big Let Down Book (2009-02-11)
I bought this calendar and previous ones for crochet and knitting patterns. No more of any future years (crochet/knitting) calendar pattern books. I am an experienced crochet and knitter, and there are better books than this one. I'll save my money for a real worth having book. I will donate the ones I have. I'll be honest and say that for me perhaps up to six of the patterns in this year's calendar are worth keeping. I do not recommend this book for intermediate and experienced crocheters.

Fun, but paper is cheap quality and not square (2009-02-17)
I have used a different origami desk calendar the past few years and wanted a change as they had become repetitive so I bought this version. To date, the folds have been fun but the paper is not your typical smooth origami-style and is not fully square. Instructions and folding techniques are very good though.
Repetitious from prebious years (2009-02-04)
So, about four years ago I needed a page-a-day calendar at work and it was three weeks into the new year. So, when I went to the closest (over-priced) bookstore to see what they had, it was Origami or the Bible verse of the day...not being very religious I went with the Origami. I bought it thinking I'd never do the models and just have it on my day to know which date it is...then I started doing the models and before long the whole office was fighting over who got to do the daily models. They were fun, and helped me to entertain my young nieces once. I rate it lower because I just bought this again, and it seems like the exact same models just in a slightly different order. So, if you've never bought one of these, it's cool but if you've already worked through one it gets repetitious unless you had some sort of brain injury in the intervening years and can't remember what you did.
Lots of fun (2009-01-07)
What's great about the calendar: You use yesterday's page to fold today's origami. The paper is colored and has the correct size. I love it. The variety of models is wide.
What's poor: There's nothing to fold on weekends. You only get some helpful advice or basic stuff about origami. So I have nothing to do on the weekends when I'd have tons of time to try difficult folds. My husband has the paper plane calendar and he got two (!) planes to fold last weekend.
Nevertheless I'd buy the calendar again.
Cute (2008-11-02)
Easy to fold models with nice different patterns. I just could'nt wait to 1/1/2009, and it's now the new hit around the office. For the origami lovers it will be boring.

Awesome Illustrational Guide (2009-01-27)
You know, I know nothing about origami, but this book is pretty good at teaching you what you need to know to get from a flat piece of paper to a bunch of interesting things. Through wonderfully accurate illustration it shows you how to make everything from crosses, to frogs, to various kinds of birds and flowers, to pigs and boats. I've just been ignoring the calendar part and folding at my leisure. I'm actually in the month of May already and feel like I'm on a PHD origami program.
Some of the days are harder than others, but I think that adds to the variety.
(2/11/09 update) Oh, I forgot to mention. Some of the origami looks awful if you use the calendar page from the day before because of all the writing on it. If you really like a particular construction, find some paper without writing that's colored on one side and white on the other.
My 10 year old son loves it (2009-01-26)
Fun projects for each weekday. Teaches various folds and builds on that knowledge. Tips on the weekends.
