Why Am I Writing This Review Now? (2010-02-12)

It's 2010, and I've taken the 2009 Trout of North America calendar down, but I can't bring myself to pitch it.

As I look at the illustrations by Joseph Tomelleri that have graced my wall over the last year, I think, instead, that I will have several of them framed for posterity.

What higher recommendation can a calendar claim?

Tomelleri Trout calendar (2009-03-21)

I am a great fan of Joe Tomelleri and have several of his works. I buy this calendar every year and keep the old ones as a collection of his wonderfully accurate works on various trouts of North America.

Beautiful Calendar (2009-02-26)

I have bought this calendar for the last four years, and love it. I am neither a fly fisherman nor ichthyologist, but I find these illustrations of trout captivating. I keep the calendars from previous years, with the idea that I am going to frame individual illustrations for hanging elsewhere in my home (another project I never quite get around to...)
The picutres have an Audubon-like quality and enhance almost any decor, from outdoorsy cabin/camp to elegant and upscale. Makes an excellent gift as well.
