LOVE THIS CALENDAR - GETTING ANOTHER FOR 2010 !!! (2009-12-13)

We had this calendar for 2009 and it is WONDERFUL! We loved the bird songs and so did our cat. Can't recommend it highly enough. For those few who say the songs did not work - RETURN THE CALENDAR AS IT IS DEFECTIVE AND GET ANOTHER ONE. The songs are real recordings of the birds - one for each month, and the calendar is put together beautifully - very wonderful to use as a calendar as well - Clean, simple lines - beautiful artwork of the birds with interesting information about them on each page. This would make a /wonderful/ gift for anyone who is into nature or birds at all. It is a very calming calendar to have around.

The calendar runs on a lithium battery which lasted fine the whole year (you can't see it unless you really look for where it is hidden on the bottom strip) It has very high quality recordings of bird songs. The speaker in the calendar is excellent as well. The battery lasted all year even though we randomly would push the different buttons whenever we felt like it to hear some bird song all year long. I will save this calendar (for the bird songs) and just replace the battery someday if ever we have to. Fabulous product, very professionally put together - I will purchase a new one every year. Highly recommend. If you get it from Amazon, and there is anything wrong with it - they will gladly replace it.

If you are a teacher - WHAT A GREAT TEACHING AIDE - your class will love it. If you are a parent - your kids will love it. If you are a grandparent - your grand children will love it. I too, do not know why someone did not think of this product earlier. In our house - we have a category for this kind of purchase. We call it a "BEST BUY".

I love my calendar!
Each month has a beautiful drawing and description of a bird. The daily spaces are large enough to write appointments,etc.
But the best part are the 12 "buttons" below the calendar which, when each is pressed, sends a different melodic sound through the air.
I also gave this as a gift to a group of nuns at the local convent, and they are enjoying it so much. Just what is needed during the cold, snow winter!

This is a great entertainment and educational tool, and I just wish it had been around while my son was young. Though he is grown now, it is still a great tool. Information on the birds, their habitat and habits, with the songs very clear. Even if you are not after education, it is wonderful to hear the birdsong when you want.
Very enjoyable and attractive and it keeps my cat entertained, too.

Beautiful calendar (2009-06-14)

My parents received this beautiful calendar as a gift. It features a large picture each month, along with one small picture each day. Each photograph includes the name of the bird. Highly recommended!

12 Month Calendar with clear bold colour beautiful bird closeups (2009-01-29)

I had last year's calendar and it was admired by everyone in the office. Combination of larger "monthly" pictures and smaller pictures of a variety of birds scattered in spaces around the days of the month. I receive a garden calendar this year, so didn't get this one, but plan to order it anyway now that it's down in price, just for the beautiful pictures.

This calendar is not what I expected. I thought I was getting a picture a day, 365 day calendar. Instead, this is a wall calendar that has some additional pictures. Don't buy this if you want a 365 day calendar.

I love the Sierra Club date book/calendar. The photos are stunning, and there is plenty of room on every day for notes, as well as a snapshot of a full month calendar at the top of the page for referencing. The weight of the pages is also thick enough that the pages don't tear when carried around in a briefcase. The function of the calendar is as impressive as the pictures. While happy with the overall quality of the calendar, I had the same problem another reviewer had--my calendar is missing the month of May. My advice: flip through and make sure you have all months as soon as you receive it.

This is the second year in a row that I have purchased this wall calendar. It has some absolutely beautiful pictures and has large enough squares in which to record at least one appointment each day. It is a little on the long side which means you need a fairly large (long) space to hang it. The paper quality is quite good and not thin like some calendars. I will definitely purchase this product again next year.

Weim lover (2009-04-13)

This is the first time I have gotten the Weim pups calendar. I have 4 Weims at home and this is the sweetest calendar! It really represents the pups!

One week late & horrible customer service. (2009-02-09)

I ordered this product from Amazon.com. This product is great, except to for the fact that i had to wait one week longer that i was told when i purchased this item. For some reason, the package was shipped near my house using UPS, then they shipped it back to another facility using USPS, which took an extra week! I called Amazon SEVERAL times and received no apology or explanation for the week delay. I was very unsatisfied with the customer service that i received.

Wegman family calender (2008-11-16)

Good space. Lovely photos. I'm waiting for the day when there are more family calenders on the market here. Lot's of coupled and parenting families, duh.
In the meantime, this is as good as I've seen. Wish there were more "no school" stickers. I ran out fast and I only have 1 kid.

Works for me! (2008-09-16)

I bought this calendar to try and keep myself and my family organized. With all of us running all week long and weekends scheduled out a month in advance it's frequently hard to tell if we're coming or going.
This calendar has a column for each member of the family (5 total columns). We can see at a glance each of our individual schedules and everyone else's too. Gone are the days of "Are we doing anything the weekend of the 8th?" No more double booking. No more "You didn't tell me you had rehersal tonight."

Pros: Columns for each family member, comes with stickers for common activities, 18 months (Sept. 08 - Dec 09), Cute Puppies!!! (Always a plus)

Cons: Wish the individual squares were a bit larger, too many puppy stickers not enough activity stickers (activity stickers are too specific. I would prefer "practice" to "kung fu" or "golf")

Best thing I bought in 2008 ! (2008-11-08)

I bought the Turtles 2008 calendar, and enjoy it every morning as I get dressed to go to work. My family had ~10 desert tortoises when I was growing up, and have since always loved tortoises/turtles. This calendar was a joy, and I look forward to enjoying the 2009 edition!
