It’s mobile Boynton! Mom's Family Desk Planner moves seamlessly from desk to purse and is indispensable for moms on the go (and what mom isn't on the go?). Each handy week-at-a-glance grid features two columns—one for Mom's schedule and one for the whole family's schedules. In the back, Mom can record phone numbers for school, work, maintenance and repair people, and restaurants. Plus there are perforated grocery and "to do" lists, 150 full-color stickers, and storage pockets on the inside front and back covers. And, this being Boynton after all, the spreads are illustrated with a cast of lively, lovably charming animal characters.

Disappointed... (2008-10-11)

Let me preface this by saying I am a huge fan of the Boynton Wall calendar and have purchased one every year for several years. This year I decided to get the desk calendar as well and at first, I loved it. After taking an hour or so to enter in the kids school calendar, my school calendar, every birthday and special event for the year and anything else I could come up with, I was ready to go. The trouble started only a few days in when I noticed the first couple of pages were ripping out. I pulled out the clip that I was using to hold "old pages" and thought that I had solved the problem. One week later, I threw the Family Desk Calendar in the garbage. I loved everything about the calendar EXCEPT the fact that it kept falling apart...

Perfect Planner for Mom! (2008-03-10)

I've been a fan of Sandra Boynton's "Mom's Family Wall Calendars" for years, but last year, when I moved into my new house, I couldn't find a good place for it where it would be easily visible, and more importantly, usable. So this year, when I saw this planner, I was overjoyed!

Same great art spread out over 52 weeks with the same great stickers to use for every occasion! There's more than enough space to keep track of my stuff, along with both of my kids (although, for bigger, active families this could be an issue, as there is only a differentiation for 'Mom' and 'Kids', not the split available on the wall calendar). I use it daily (it fits in my medium size purse and goes everywhere with me) and have yet to miss an event, appointment or bill for that matter!

I love the to do and grocery (automatically makes chocolate #9 AND #10 on every list!), plus all the other extras in the back section!

Definitely recommend this product for every single mom out there. Even if you just leave it on your desk to flip through, you're going to find yourself better organized (oh, it has pockets, too!) and less stressed out!

The only CON I found was the adhesive for the pockets did not hold very well, but that was easily remedied with scotch tape.

Desk Planner (2008-02-19)

I love this desk planner, it has been wonderful. It has plenty of room to write in and cute pre made lists that are perfect for daily errands. I wouldn't choose any other after using this one

love it! (2008-02-14)

i love it, i love stickers and the lists and the mom/family divided days days... i tell every mom about it! one mom did say she loved it but needed the daily time record as well as just day, but that's the only complaint.

A Mom's must have!!! (2008-02-07)

This is my second year using this planner and I absolutely love it. I have a busy family of five, I find it to be very simple and easy to use. It's just a fun planner with all the stickers. It fits well in my purse and/or diaper bag. Great Christmas gift for friends who are mothers.

With Sandra Boynton's spirited chickens, cows, hippos, pigs, and mice running, skipping, and hopping through the pages plus its renowned organizational brawn, Mom's calendar is seriously hardworking— and seriously fun, too. To make it super-practical, the calendar covers sixteen months beginning in September. And the format is pure genius: The oversized grid is laid out on a vertical, with five columns across the top (one for each family member) and the days of the month reading down the left side. It's easy to see who's doing what, and when they're doing it, with just a glance. Includes 500 stickers and a handy write-on, wipe-off magnetic phone list for the fridge.

Best calendar ever made (2008-12-26)

Perfect for the busy mom- lets you keep track of everyone's activities- lots of fun stickers for the kids (or you)

Best Calendar Ever (2008-12-18)

I love this thing. I feel it is a must have for moms. It helps me keep track of my appointments, dad's, and both kids. Plenty of room to write nice and big! We are a family of four so it leaves us an extra column to keep up with birthdays. Everyone who comes over asks where I got it and how to get one. My sister now uses one too. Love it..no issues.

Great! (2008-09-18)

I love this calender! The format makes it easy to read & stay on top of things. There are five columns alongside the day of the week. The weekend days have a colored background. Each box (for each day/person) will easily allow upto four lines of text. With one child, and two adults in our family, there' enough room to stay on track. On the downside, only abbreviated notes can be entered. No space for any details as space runs out. As always, Boynton's fun graphics & bright colors make it a very attractive record of mundane day to day activities.

Good for a somewhat large family (2008-07-03)

It can be difficult to find a large calendar for a busy family with four children. I spend each December at the stores hoping to find the perfect blend of spaces for people with boxes big enough to write out their daily activities. This year I thought I'd try the Sandra Boynton calendar and am glad I did. With a space for each day, INCLUDING Saturday and Sunday and columns for four children it has been a perfect fit for us. So perfect, in fact, that I hope they are planning to do one exactly the same for 2009. If so, I'll continue to use this until we add another member to the family.

Now give us a journal/calendar for the schedule/journalers (2008-05-19)

Greatest family calendar out there! Helps keep us organized and teaches the kids to track the calendar. Fits on kitchen wall. All you need to keep everyone knowing where they're supposed to be any given day.

Mom's Plan it Organizer

I might rate it more stars if I actually got the item (2009-08-31)

I ordered this item and the Mom's Plan it Engagement calendar on August 21st and used the Free Super Saver Shipping that is supposed to take 5-9 days. I got the Calendar on August 26th, 5 days after I ordered. But this item has shown "Left seller facility" since August 26th and an estimated delivery fate of Sept 5th! Thats 15 days after I ordered it! It has shown in transit for 5 days but nothing else has been added to the scan list.

VERY frustrating!!!!! I wish I would have know so I could have had this when I needed it. Buy it through Avalanche Publishing and save yourself the headache, it's the same price.

this will probably be the last time I order anything through Amazon. This is not the first time it has taken weeks for me to get an item that was in stock.

My daughter loves it. (2009-03-08)

I bought this set for my daughter and she just loves it. She has 3 kids with multiple appointments for them, all as well as school notes, and she says it is the first organizer that really works for her.

A good way to organize school papers (2008-08-26)

I really like this product so far. I have been looking for a good way to organize papers that come home from school and other important information for my four kids for a while now. This organizer is helping tremendously. Now I don't have a big stack of unorganized papers laying around my kitchen. I now know where to find what I am looking for for each child and don't miss any important deadlines. The only drawback I would say is that that are not enough folders space for more than two or three kids.

Excellent organizational tool for busy moms! (2007-09-26)

This organizer is a great way to keep all school and activities info in one, organized spot. I am loving it!

Wife Pleaser (2008-07-28)

She loves this calendar book and it has helped us greatly in keeping our schedules in tune. Getting ready to buy next year already.

nice... (2007-12-31)

This is a good flexible planner. It doesn't say you have to use it one way or another, it fits your needs. It would be nice if there were tabs of some kind to find the months.

Not what I expected (2007-12-10)

I received this calendar today and was disappointed in the quality and the content... The layout of the weekly pages is odd - there is not a monthly calendar on each page to let you look ahead / backwards- the bounding is plastic, not metal, so I wonder how long that will hold up with heavy usage? I do like the idea of the tear-away lists on the pages, but each list covers a two week period (left and right page). Once the list has been torn, there is no other place to keep your lists until you pass a new page, two weeks later. All in all, this calendar is very disappointing and I will be returning.

Familytime.mine (2007-11-12)

Not as good as the larder size that I purchased at Barnes and Noble Book Store. (WHICH WAS GREAT!!) This version almost looked like someone took the larger one and photocopied it into a smaller version- but not small enough to fit into a purse. I returned it.

The best "Moms" planner ever (2007-09-12)

My friend Linda shared this planner with me when she found it 3 years ago. I was hooked. I only have two children but they have busy schedules and activities that always change. I find that the master planning schedule for each season helps me remember and be organized for everything from library and gym days to soccer and dance practice. The perforated columns next to each week allow me to jot down items that I need from the grocery and people I need to call right when I think of them and then tear them out when I need to. The family time reminder at the top of each week helps me to try to squeeze in this all so important time each week so that we stay connected and the inspirational quotes make me laugh and keep my life in perspective in a way. I love the way the focus of the calendar is weekly but there is also a large calendar double page for each month for those people who need to see the bigger picture. The Family Business section in the back is where I put all the numbers, addresses, e-mail info for our doctors dentists teachers etc. because how many forms do we have to fill out per year per child where we need this info but can't remember it. There are even little stickers that the kids use more than I do but regardless, they remind you of everything, games, salon appoinments, vacations, there's even one to remind us moms to do our breast self check exams! The women who designed this calendar date book have thought of it all. It is truly fabulous and did I mention that it revolves on the school year? This part is one of the best features because this is what my life revolves around and when I get my new one each August it helps me to get myself and my kids off to a good start and when we start strong, we finish strong! I used to use the large version of this planner but decided to switch to the small version so that I could keep it in my purse and so far the only thing I miss is the big pocket in the back of the big one that I could keep all those loose papers in. However, the small one still has room for a bill or two, coupons, reciepts and a few papers if they can be nicely folded. I LOVE this planner and as long as they make it it will be the way I organize my life!

Love This Calendar (2008-03-04)

I had a calendar with a similar format to this one last year and really liked it. I was very pleased to find one again this year. The colors are beautiful and it has plenty of room for me to keep track of everyone's activities without appearing cluttered.
