5 customer reviews Nice to Have Again. January 30, 2008 It's been a few years since we last bought one of the Star Trek wall calendars. It's good to have one again. We prefer the original series calendars to the more recent sequels and to the "Ships of the Line." Overall size of the calendar is more than adequate and color photos are great. This year's (2008) version has shots from the original TV series, starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and the late DeForest Kelley. We believe each of the first three years of the series are represented. The calendar also has two months with photos from the Star Trek movies, "Wrath of Khan" and "Search for Spock." Key dates related to the series, stars, and international holidays are included. Finally, there's a centerfold of the original starship Enterprise, with a space station floating in the distance. Quite well done. This Star Trek Calendar was out of this world. January 18, 2008 Calendar was in stellar condition, exactly as described. I highly recommend it to any fan of the oridional series. Awesome Calendar. January 14, 2008 This calendar is really fantastic. The pictures are great! Also, it features important dates/birthdays pertaining to the Original Series cast! The font of the calendar is in line with the Star Trek font. This is a great gift for that serious Star Trek Fan! Highly recommend it! another great Trek calendar for '08.... January 7, 2008 I look forward to the annual classic Star Trek wall calendar. This year was no exception. The pictures are full of color with clean, crisp images. The vibrant colors that classic Trek was famous for come shining through. Nice to liven up any room or to keep as a collectible. the star trek calander. December 24, 2007 it was a bit banged up when it arrived, but I feel it was no fault of the company that sent it, just the post office which mangles everything. So, over all, the company was prompt in shipping, and made every effort to send it so it wouldn't get bent. |
1 customer reviews Great Buy, Very Classy. February 17, 2008 This is a great purchase whether you're a classic movie fan or just love the art work of old Hollywood. It's of high quality and is a great value for the price. |
5 customer reviews Great calendar. May 14, 2008 This is Great Calendar to buy for every harry potter fan, The Images are wonderful and very colorful. gives you plenty of room to put your information onto the dates. A great gift for Harry Potter fans of all ages. April 12, 2008 This was purchased as a gift for Christmas. The recipient was thrilled. He is a huge Harry Potter fan of both the movies and the books. He enjoys having scenes from the movie hanging on his wall. Next year I will most likely purchase the next calendar in the series. Real Photos of the Magical World. January 20, 2008 To say "my daughter loves the Harry Potter books and movies " is to mischaracterize her engagement in the whole HP culture. So a wall calendar is always part of the holiday gift canon, to steal one of the HP terms,(and probably misuse it). Anyway, this calendar is great because the pics are not doctored more than Hollywood deems it necessary, to keep the pimples and other blemishes from distracting fans. But it's now half way through January, 2008. Buy it on sale, like I did. colorless. January 12, 2008 The presented calender is a good print work of a solid quality. However, this is just a poster (photo of actors) without any mistery inside. The images do not reflect the color of the book and the picture. The is no motion and feeling which may upset the fan of Joan Rolling story. Harry Potter 2008 Wall Calendar. January 8, 2008 Perfect for Harry Potter fans of all ages. Beautiful illustrations, layout and nice size for wall calendar. |

1 customer reviews breath-taking. November 6, 2007 I think posting new characters like Ben or Juliet makes this calendar a superb souvenir of Lost |
4 customer reviews HP Calendar. February 27, 2008 I love these kinds of pull-off calendars. My only problem is the events of the calendar are random, and sometimes it seems like they picked certain pictures for certain days, and sometimes not. Most of the pictures are nice though, and I enjoy pulling every day off. Great, as usual. December 23, 2007 I get this calendar every year, and it's a great one for fans of the Harry Potter movies. The chosen pictures are quite diverse and don't only feature The Trio--the more minor characters get their pages too. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 2008 Calendar. December 18, 2007 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: 2008 Day-to-Day Calendar I purchased this item for a Christmas gift.It arrived very quickly, and in perfect condition.I was very pleased with the product, and the fast delivery. We order nearly everything we want from Amazon.Your feedback & review sections are very helpful in making decisions on which products to buy. Fantastic Calendar with colorful movie scenes.. November 22, 2007 George's Pond: Created in the Beloved Tradition of Charlotte's Web
West's Time Machine
This is a great addition to anyones collection of Potter items. I am both a childrens novelist and a teacher. I use this day-to-day calendar in my classroom so that the children can share my happyness with it. It covers many fantastic Harry Potter Scenes to make everyday a magic day. Often, my students will beg for yesterdays calendar picture, so I always offer it to the students who perform well on that day.
I strongly recommend this for educators or potter fans alike. It really livens up your days. |
4 customer reviews Great Pictures!. January 19, 2008 Calendar has great Anime pictueres perfect for any Inuyasha fan. You might even use it to see whay day it is. 'Keh'tastic! Definitely reigns supreme over last year's!. January 13, 2008 For the majority of pictures within this calendar, all are newly made especially for 2008's calendar. Price varies, and $8 is what they go for in stores and such. Layout and pictures are definitely better than last year's, and it is a definite prize to have! Better than last years.... January 2, 2008 I've bought the Inuyasha wall calendars for the past 3 years now, and this version is very nice in comparison. Very colorful, engaging pictures, and well chosen, in my opinion. the actual calendar part of it could be a bit bigger, but honestly, I get the Inuyasha and other anime calenders mostly for the wall art purposes.
I'd say don't buy it at full price, but if you can get a deal, then it is worth your money. inuyasha wall calendar 2008. January 2, 2008 Beautiful warriors to adorn your walls? This is the calendar for you..The graphics and colours are precise and true to the style of this art form..

5 customer reviews Trekkie Hubby Loves it!. February 8, 2008 While my hubby prefers a desk calendar (not to be found anywhere this year) this calendar is his next choice for it's awesome imagery. Long live and prosper... January 14, 2008 As always an excellent Ships of the line calendar. I have been purchasing them since 2001. This year is mixture of pre generations and beyond star trek art though the emphasis is on the rather forgetable tv series Enterprise(for some odd reason) and the orginal star trek(very understandable because of the upcoming movie). As always some of the art is really very appealing while some are rather forgetable but as always brings out the star trek fan in me. I especially like the wide-screen layout which really brings out the best of the art by displaying it in paranomic format. My only gripe is(and has been for last 3 years) is the non-photo realistic but rather a drawn aspect of the pictures. Theses calendars really used to stand out when an emphasis was put to make the art photo realistic like the TV shows and movies.
Well I think the calendar was worth the purchase price but they are rooms for improvement namely photo-realism and moving away from Enterprise era. No more Voyager. December 24, 2007 Thats the only thing that bugs me about these series of calendars. I'm trying to forget that goddawfull show ever existed. Along with Kathryn Lameway. It doesn't take 78 years to cross the galaxy, not if you are aware of the Mandel scale ie Star Trek Maps' Introduction to Navigation. In contrast to the dweeb who wants to see less of TOS I want to see more including derivative designs from and similar to the blueprints and original as from the New Voyages with a only sprinkling of TNG & DS9. Those of you aka Joshua Bell who like to kiss Micheal Okuda's [...] you forget that in traditional publishing it is those that publish FIRST who win. Only in trek fandom do you it get backwards!!! Mainly by newbies. (except Shane Johnston who just has his dates wrong) Other than that this is a fine work, even that part where the artist went conceptual rather than going the commercial/industrial art route. Finally since the dweebs have me good and angry, the Reliant (WoK) is an Avenger class Frigate, not a so-called Miranda. My other calandar. December 9, 2007 The ships of the line calandar is the other calandar on my wall. I love the artwork! Okay to hang on your wall, but a disappointment. November 22, 2007 I was rather bummed by this calendar. A lot of the closeups do not have the kind of detail that I would expect, given where we are in our current level of cg illustration technology, there was not a very good representation of ships from the five live action series, particularly in the individual month illustrations: there was only one illustration of the Voyager, NONE of the Defiant or DS9, yet FOUR different months were devoted to either the NX-01 from "Enterprise", or other ships from that show! (The only appearance of the Defiant from DS9 and a second of Voyager, was in the "Ode to McCall" spread between June and July, which wasn't really much of a "scene", so much as a lineup of various ships.) They even had a couple of ships from the animated series, none of which looked detailed or interesting, so I'm totally confused by how they made these choices.
The decision to include a couple of ships never before seen onscreen was somewhat interesting: An Earth transport ship flying at the scene of the discovery of the Borg Cube remains in "Regeneration(ENT)", and that Ice Station Alpha TNG era ship for May was really nice looking (I'm wondering if it's intended to have been used off-camera during the events of "Timeless(VOY)").
Still, I was looking for more detail in closeup shots, and a better distributing of ships from the various series. It's okay if you need a calendar, and some spreads are really nice, but I expected better. |
4 customer reviews Another Great Bond Calendar. January 20, 2008 Of all the Bond calendars I like these pictures of Bond Posters the best. Year after year they turn out a great product. Classy-ic. January 16, 2008 In response to the previous reviewer.. the multi-lingual nature of the calendar is part of its appeal. The calendar is a collection of classic Bond posters from around the world - just because you can't read them doesn't mean they are not artistically appealing (the reading thing, by the way, is a little odd - it is pretty obvious from the poster which film it is referring to, and hence what the words on the poster mean!! you don't need to be multilingual to get your head around Doktor No...!!!!).
Classic and classy, much like 007 himself! James Bond Movie Posters 2008 calendar. January 13, 2008 The calendar features three different languages. Since I only read English this feature did nothing for me. Great value for a unique item. December 31, 2007 I purchased this calendar at the request of my 16-year-old son, and he was thrilled ... exactly what any James Bond fan needs to have for 2008! It was received promptly and in great condition! |
1 customer reviews Terrific wall calendar!. January 9, 2008 This is the second year I have ordered this calendar - last year's photos were different, of course. The posters are framing quality and lots of fun. I love this calendar! |
3 customer reviews All year round. April 7, 2008 Hey,
Well what can i say its a calendar with 12 months with some nice pictures of the characters from the show. Nice calendar. November 21, 2007 .... though it is disheartening to turn to the pictures of Isaiah Washington and Kate Walsh and know they are no longer part of the cast. By the time I get to November 2008 (Addison Forbes Montgomery Shepherd Montgomery again) hopefully Kate will have returned to Grey's. Otherwise the pictures are fabulous and it's a wonderful way to start off the new year with McSteamy on your wall. :) cool.... October 6, 2007 i just bought this and it's really nice. every character has their own month and funny pics and quotes. a good buy :) |
