Anne Geddes Calendar (2009-01-24)

This is a great Calendar. If you love Anne Geddes work, you will not be disappointed. Would recommend.

Adorable (2008-01-09)

Not only are the pictures fantastic, there is an explanation of how they were taken (the atmosphere, how long it took, etc)! Very entertaining.

oops (2007-12-25)

Didn't realize the pictures for each month were old Anne Geddes pics. I thought it was a calendar of new pictures, oh well, still cute.

They've done it again! (2007-11-03)

I've gotten these calendars each year since they first came out. They are wonderful!

The chidren's artwork is achingly lovely; and the overall design of the datebook is uncluttered and convenient to use.

When you buy these datebooks, you get a useful, visually stunning product, and you help children in need. The very definition of symbiosis!

Use the datebooks for office gift exchanges, stocking stuffers, and your own personal scheduler. You (and the people to whom you give them) will be thrilled!

Exactly what I expected: An enchanting, exuberant engagement calendar (2007-10-26)

The art in this calendar is the fruit of the Aldea Children's Art Therapy Program in Napa and Solano Counties of California. Wonderfully varied, the 53 full-color (and full-page) illustrations include "Colors" by Hannah/age 9 (Watercolors and Glitter);"Brothers" by Eric/age 10 (Styrofoam Print); "Summer Work with Father" by Abel/age 11 (Marker and Watercolors); and "Sunset Time" by Katlynn/age 10 (Pencil and Oil Pastels)--plus so much more. Young contributing artists range in age from six to fifteen, trying their hands at a rich array of materials, from painted clay sculptures (note to above reader commenter: there are a mere eight out of 53 artworks!) to acrylics, to tempera and plastergauze. Through it all we find a common--and heartening--thread. Illustrations that are virtually bursting with individuality, energy, and creativity. Finally, unlike the previous reviewer, I find the compact, uncluttered layout of the book a joy. If you are looking for full months at a glance, the front and back flaps provide that in colorful, handy style. In sum, an engagement calendar sure to lift the spirit, one memorable page at a time.

Not what I expected (2007-10-24)

This calendar was not exactly what I was expecting and I ended up returning it. This is not an 18-month calendar/diary and there are no pages with the full view of the month. Artwork wasn't impressive either, I know it's by children but I was thinking it would be paintings or drawings, not clay sculptures.
