$12.99The 17-month calendar that keeps Mom and the whole family organized, Mom's Family Calendar marries the organizational powers of a planner with the utter cuteness of Sandra Boynton's animal charactersthose lovable hippos and cows, pigs, chickens, and dogshopping, dancing, and skipping through the grids. The grids run vertically, with five columns across the top (one for each family member) and the days of the month running down the left-hand side. There's plenty of room to write in every person's activities for each day, and Mom and Dad can easily see who's doing what, when. Includes a drop-down storage pocket, 500 stickers, and a write-on, wipe-off magnetic phone list to hang on the fridge. This is Family Central, with a big Boynton smile.

Best Calendar (2010-09-07)
This is the best calendar in the world. I have 5 children and trying to keep everyone's schedule is very tough. I've used this calendar for the past 5 years and wouldn't ever try another. The boxes are big enough for everything I need to put in them and everyone gets their own column so I just need to look across the day to see what needs to happen that day, which is how I live, day to day. I would recommend this to every mom, whether one kid or 6 (although there are only 5 columns).
Perfect Family Calendar (2010-09-06)
This is the perfect family calendar. It works great for our family of 4 and there is still another slot. This is the third time I have purchased this calendar and I plan to keep buying them.
great (2010-09-02)
I just got this and I like it a lot has lots of space to write and is big enough for everyone to read.
Awesome Calendar!!! (2010-08-28)
LOVE this calendar! I was struggling to stay on top of all of our to do's but with this thing it is no longer a challenge. Love the stickers as well....makes it look quite organzied! :D
The Best way to organize (2010-08-23)
I've used this planner for my family for years. We find it gives everyone enough space each day for all our activities and is a nice clear visual reminder to us all of where we're supposed to be and when. Couldn't do without it.

Great for moms (2010-09-08)
My review kind of looks like the first one;
I have been using the Mom's plan-it calendar for 3 years now and love it. Kids love the stickers, I love the tear-out grocery lists on every page. Little pocket in the front is great to stash receipts. Only thing I don't get is why it is 17 months and not 12. I always end up not using a part of the calendar.
The BEST planner for a mom! (2010-09-03)
I have had a "Mom's Plan-it" planner for the last 3 years, and have loved it. Last December, in an effort to keep clutter off the desk, I decided to order the wall calendar for 2010 instead. Well, I ended up really missing the planner, where I can jot down notes and to-dos, menus, grocery lists, etc. all in one place. (All those post-it notes ended up cluttering up the desk anyway!) So I ended up getting this planner again after all! Can't do without it. The tear-off grocery lists are awesome, and I also love that it has a pocket in the front for me to stash things. The 2011 planner starts in August 2010, so I am happy to be able to use it right now and all the way through 2011!

Nice (2010-08-04)
It is wonderful when an individual shares such intimate and meaningful details of their life.

Great gift (2010-01-10)
I got this for a gift and the person whom I gave it to was very happy. They said it helped them a lot. So I recommend it to others, it's worth the money
Inspirational and life changing (2009-12-23)
This book of daily reflections can help you see things in a whole different light. It is a great resource for those in recovery or anyone just needing a daily lift.
If you want the real deal, get the 24 Hour A Day book (2009-08-27)
I was involved in the process about whether this book should be published at all. Clearly the membership at the time felt no such need for a daily reader as Hazelden's 24 Hour A Day book had become the standard. But in the end, Daily Reflections was published...I believe for the income.
This book, quite frankly, is a disappointment. Very shallow...kind of Recovery Empty Calories.
Daily Reflections (2008-11-13)
I believe this book is a "must have" for any recovering alcoholic or addict. It is really good to sit down each morning and read the thought of that day just to get your mind going on the right track. Very humbling, very thought provoking.

Couples devotional (2010-03-14)
Handy book to keep on the night stand. Some great stories from The Raineys which relate to the devotion for the day. I'm enjoying this no matter when I pick it up.
Great for Married Couples (2009-12-31)
I heard alot about this book and read alot about it online. This is a great devotional! It puts couples face to face and talks about some hard topics that couples avoid during conversations. This devotional will help couples communicate better and say things to each other that needs to be said in the right way. This will strenghten your relationship with the one you love in a Christ like manner.
MOMENTS TOGETHER FOR COUPLES (2009-10-04)
IS YOUR MARRIAGE ON A SEE SAW. TAKE THE TIME TO DO THIS BOOK NIGHTLY WITH YOUR SPOUSE AND YOU WILL SEE SUCH A WONDERFUL DIFFERENCE. YOU CAN SPEND FIVE MINUTES OR AND HOUR ON EACH PAGE. IT OPENS UP AREAS YOU HAVE ALWAYS HAD QUESTIONS ABOUT. I HAVE LEARNED THINGS ABOUT MY HUSBAND I NEVER KNEW. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMMITTING THE TIME TO DO THIS BOOK.
Completely Satisfied (2009-09-13)
Product arrived quickly and was in great condition. I have one of the other "Moments Together" Books and did not realize that this one contained 365 days of devotions! Definitely a pleasant surprise.
Fair to Decent (2009-05-16)
This is a devotion written for couples in the beginning phases of their faith journey. There are large sections devoted to male "misconceptions", parental issues, and other such obvious things.
My wife has concerns with the book because it seems to promote the stereotype that in a Christian relationship the male is supposed to be dominate and the wife is supposed to be subordinate. I have to say, it bugs me too. It can be a little irritating night after night.
Lastly, the book seems to talk down to the read as if they are just beginning their faith journey. We have actually stopped reading the book after only a few weeks. Before anyone says anything, I have made these observations by reading through many of the other days to see if we should keep going or just stop...we just stopped.
My recommendation is to skip this book if you have been together for a time, if you have been together for a while, have a good relationship, or are not just beginning your faith journey together.

A bit Confusing (2009-12-10)
The text for each day is fine, does a good job of raising valuable lessons about life and God. The bible verses however are too complicated and don't seem to support the lesson very well. Maybe they are just too deep or advanced for me so they are hard to explain to the kids. I think a different version of scripture or other supporting bible verses would drive the lessons home a bit more. Still, it makes for decent conversation with the kids about how to live a life with Jesus.
Jesus wants our precious little Children! (2009-12-01)
We were so excited to get this little book! We wanted something we could read after dinner with our little children, oldest one 3.
What you will find are short little devotions, a few sentences long with a scripture for each day, that will open up opportunities for conversations and prayer with your little ones. God wants us to shape their hearts, and teach them every day. We have other books with Bible stories, but this one helps to open up the hearts of little ones and teach them what it means to walk with their Savior.
Ignore the negative review posted on this site! This is not an empty book about religion! It is much much more!
Amazing and helpful book (2008-06-16)
What a wonderful way to share the gospel with your children, grandchildren, or even the child within you. You won't be dissapointed with this wonderfully illustrated devotional.
Wonderful perpetual calendar book. (2007-05-21)
This book is a nice little daily inspirational perpetual calendar that kids can spend just a few minutes a day reflecting on their faith. As kids learn to understand the bible better then these passages grow stronger and more meaningful to use in their daily lives through the years. The cartoon illustrations are very cute. I have personally bought 50 copies over the last 5 years to give as gifts. I hope you enjoy as much as I do with my children.
GREAT KIDS DEVOTIONAL (2007-04-05)
I have to say... as a mom who is very concerned about the spiritual upbringing of her children, I highly recommend this book. Especially for those who have small children with short attention spans- as most do at early ages. Yes, the devotionals are short, but to the point, and my kids actually get it. The gospel is simple- why complicate things... After we read the days devotion I ask them simple questions that bring out certain points in the reading. Through these devotionals, they are learning how to apply these principals to life at home, in relationships, at school, and in their own spritual growth, and so on. Yes, I recommend this book.

One Moment, Please (2010-08-30)
My wife and I made a commitment this past January to do nightly devotionals together whenever possible. We started with a few devotional books we had laying around the house. I've been in the ministry for over 10 years, and have taught a young couples Sunday School class for nearly half of that. So, finding a random devotional book was no problem. What I quickly realized is that many (if not most) of the devotional books out there that are specifically targeted at couples are at best shallow, and at worst anecdotal, cliche, humanistic, and literally devoid of Christ-centric thought.
I won't write too much about what turned me off about most of the other devotional books I tried. Suffice it to say that most of them are "books about marriage" with a little Christ mixed in. They have the cart in front of the proverbial horse. What C.S. Lewis calls, "Christianity and...".
This devotional doesn't have that vibe, which was so refreshing. It's approach is more like, "Here, let's set your marriage over here on the side for a second, and let's just focus on Christ and what it means to follow and glorify Him." And, of course, while your busy focusing on Christ, your marriage is over in the corner miraculously fixing itself.
In other words, if you're looking for a book that will give you some good marriage advice and will give you some good biblical marriage principles but won't bother you with the pesky concept of absolute surrender to Christ, you might want to skip this one.
Connection! (2010-08-02)
This devotional has been a great way for my wife and I to get connected and keep connected. Easy to use and addresses real concerns/problems with practical and encouraging steps. It has helped us pray and work together on things that can be better in our marriage.
Great evangelical Christian devotional for couples with children (2010-07-29)
(¤Thank you for reading this review and your votes - either way!¤)
INTRO:
As many of the other reviewers have stated, this is a very useful and easy daily devotional to use that inspires and stimulates any couple (especially the ones with children) to discuss and pray about important family life issues.
AUTHORS:
Dennis and Barbara Rainey are the founders of [...] christian ministry and this is another great resource that this ministry provides. [...] is mostly known from its radio programs (Dennys Rainey) and its Weekend-To-Remember seminars.
CONTENT:
Each calendar date has one page where the devotional text starts with the title, Bible verse quote, Dennis or Barbara's thoughts in a paragraph format. At the bottom of the page is a Discuss and Pray area (where in a sentence the couple are encouraged to discuss an important issue and to pray) that are related to the title and topic covered.
While each day there is a Scripture verse, this is not a heavy-duty theological devotional book. There are no suggested Bible reading texts for each day or elaborate biblical discussions. The devotional texts written by Dennis and Barbara rather focus mostly on the day-to-day family life, issues, and struggles, and on a few occasions the focus is on spiritual issues or theological concepts. Unfortunatelly, sometimes the devotional text is not even closely related to the Bible text. Point in case - July 28 is called "I was just thinking" and the key verse is Psalm 63:2 "I have seen You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory" but the devotional text primarily focuses on communication between the two spouses and less on meditation on God's power and glory and His sanctuary.
The title could not be more appropiate, but it would have helped to indicate that this devotional discusses a lot of parenting issues and relevant for couples that are already parents (not recommended for childless couples or newly-married).
CONCLUSION:
My wife and I enjoy the light-hearted but thought-for-food nature of the daily devotionals, and also discussing about parenting (even though we do not have children yet). This devotional is excellent for starting conversations, covering a lot of parenting ground, encourages communication about real marriage issues and fosters good communication and a prayerful life for any believing couple.
For more theological and spiritual devotionals I would recommend:
1) Portals of Prayer (from Concordia Publishing House, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod association)
2) Our Daily Bread (from RBC Ministries, Baptist and Non-Denominational theology)
3) My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers (enjoyed by a variety of Christians)
4) A Guide to Prayer for All Gods People by Rueben P. Job (Methodist source, enjoyed by variety of Christians)
# 5) "Life Together - The Classic Exploration of Faith in Community" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

NOT FOR US (2010-07-06)
Me and my husband have been married for 3 years and we purchased this book as a starter for our prayer life. This book is not recommended for new christians discovering Jesus and learning about each other. Our expectations were to grow as a couple and learn more about living a christian marriage.
Couple's Devotional (2010-02-08)
Bought this for a newlywed couple. The bride stated it was more for couples who had been married for some time and had children.

Disappointing changes (2010-07-15)
I have purchased this calendar before and absolutely loved it!
This year's, however, they changed the design so you don't have to rewrite the names every month...seems like a good idea, right?
No...There isn't as much space to write information and the worst part is that the calendar pages do not stay clipped up in the top part of the calendar! I've had to tape every month to keep it up. Very annoying.
Hopefully, in the future, they will go back to the previous design!
Mrs. (2010-03-10)
stickers are to plain. stickers should be more fun for kinds to get involved too.
Perfect for busy moms (2010-03-07)
I bought the 2009 version of this calendar last year and loved it. The 2010 version is even better. I will definitely purchase the 2011 calendar when it comes out. Great for keeping everyone's appointments and playdates straight.
The economy shows on this product. (2010-02-10)
I am not happy with the calendar this year (2010). I have been buying this calendar for a few years now and this year they made it narrower and the pages don't stay in the magnetic bar. They fall down.
Mom's Plan It 2010 (2010-02-10)
This calendar is so convenient and easy to use. It has enough space to write appointments for everyone in my family and even space for general events. The pocket is big and holds receipts, note pads, pens, etc. The magnet is strong and hasn't had any problem holding everything.
