Compilation of 2007-2008 NYT crossword reprints into a page-a-day calendar (2010-08-17)

This page-a-day desk calendar features over 300 consecutive New York Times daily crossword puzzles originally printed between July 7, 2007 and July 19, 2008. This chronology picks up where the 2010 page-a-day calendar ended. This series aligns with the normal Monday to Saturday progression of difficulty. Saturdays and Sundays share a calendar page and feature a Saturday puzzle. This year's box is orange; otherwise, the 2011 calendar's format is the same as that of previous years. The puzzle grids measure about 3" x 3" on the page, while each full page measures about 6" x 5". The lower right corner even features a few square inches of blank space for use as an actual desk calendar. The tear-off pages offer portability - I often keep a few pages in my planner for use in waiting rooms, train rides, etc. The front two pages are small 2011 and 2012 calendars that can be removed and conveniently posted elsewhere. I have been consistently pleased with this product and get it every year.

Cheaper than a daily newspaper (2010-02-07)

My wife is addicted to Wonderword in the local paper. I realized that that was the only reason we subscribed. She is very happy with the calendar and does the puzzle every morning with coffee. Cheaper that buying a daily paper.

Wonderword Word a Day Search Calendar (2010-02-01)

My 86 year "young" Mom really enjoys this every day. She often does more than one when she feels real good.

Fun and games (2010-01-30)

This is great! It can sit near you and you can find words at your leisure. The whole puzzle doesn't have to be finished at one sitting.

great gift for a puzzle lover (2010-01-09)

I've looked for years to find a daily calendar for my husband's Granny, but usually could only find Crosswords, never word search puzzles, which are her favorite. Granny was excited to see this and has been happily working her way through the daily puzzles. The print is large and clear, though the grid pattern was a little confusing to her at first. I'll be looking for another edition of this calendar next year at holiday time!

Amazon is terrific! (2009-12-19)

Love, love this calendar!!! My husband is an avid "wonderword" puzzler in the daily paper. This is a great opportunity for another daily puzzle. They didn't make one for a few years and we were very disappointed. Please keep making these calendars!!!

misleading description (2010-08-19)

This should have been labeled Sunday Crossword Puzzles in the title. It implied that it was the daily calendar, which is what I thought I was buying.

Sunday is more fun (2010-02-09)

I am enjoying this calendar but the Sunday puzzles are more fun. These are the Saturday puzzles and are much more difficult, at least for me!

A Daily Delight!! (2010-02-06)

We love doing each crossword puzzle as they become more difficult as we make it through our week.

I buy it every year, but I wish it worked better as a calendar (2010-01-04)

The other review gives excellent detail on the set-up of the calendar.

Unfortunately as good as it is in presenting brain teasers, it is not a very good calendar. I love the setup of the pages, the puzzle takes up the top right more-than-a-quarter of the page and the clues take up the left hand side.

Underneath the puzzle is today's date and some lines for notes. I don't know about other users, but I never use these lines and would prefer a grid of the current month, or even two months if it would fit. I wind up having to keep another calender on my desk to reference future dates or look up past ones.

Compilation of 2006 and 2007 NYT crossword reprints into a page-a-day calendar (2009-11-26)

This page-a-day desk calendar features 313 consecutive New York Times daily crossword puzzles originally printed between June 29, 2006 and July 4, 2007. This chronology picks up where the 2009 page-a-day calendar ended. This series aligns with the normal Monday to Saturday progression of difficulty. Saturdays and Sundays share a calendar page and feature a Saturday puzzle. A puzzle's original date of publication is very close to the calendar date: for example, the 1/5/2007 puzzle is on the 1/1/2010 calendar page, and the 6/29/2006 puzzle is on the 7/1/2010 page. This year's box is yellow; otherwise, the 2010 calendar's format is the same as that of previous years. The front two pages are small 2010 and 2011 calendars that can be removed and conveniently posted elsewhere. I have been consistently pleased with this product and buy it every year.

Frame Games (2010-04-08)

The product is what it is- a daily frame game as in the Sunday parade magazine.
Delivery however was very fast I was glad to be given the chance to order this.

Frame Games - a real fun experience (2010-03-06)

My wife and I challenge each other every weekend to see who can get the most correct answers.

Exercise Your Brain (2010-03-04)

If your Sunday paper carries the Frame Game puzzles, you will enjoy this daily dose. Most of these are easier than the ones published for the Sunday paper. It's a fun accompaniment to your cup of morning coffee, plus NO calories. Hope Terry never runs out of these.

Simply Brilliant (2009-12-11)

This calendar is a MUST BUY! I enjoy both zany humor and exercising my mind and this calendar keeps the fun going all year long. Although this calendar doesn't start until 2010, I cannot wait. I find myself peeking at the next day's adventure. Mr. Stickel's Frame Games are inviting, challenging, and fun!

Never Enough of a Good Thing (2009-12-08)

Yet more Frame Games! You'd think by now, Stickels would be running out of material, but these clever little puzzles keep getting better and better, and cleverer and cleverer. My only disappointment is that this calendar limits you to a single puzzle per day. We'll have to wait until 2011 for more.
