Duck behind a hedge, lift the latch of an overgrown gate, follow the meandering path to wherever it leads. You just may encounter a delightful surprise: a lively jumble of greenery and bright blossoms, a trickling fountain, the chirps, warbles, and songs of birds, perhaps a bench placed in the shade of an old tree. Now in its 15th successful year, The Secret Garden Calendar opens up to a dozen lush sanctuaries that will soothe the spirit and recharge the mind. A verdant French garden surrounded by weathered stone walls. An intimate breakfast nook overlooking a pretty array of tulips. Every one is an escape from the outside world, its own little paradise. Photographs are enhanced by gardening quotations, tips, and appreciations.

Small, pretty, practical (2010-08-04)

I bought this planner as a result of a technology downgrade- I got rid of a smartphone, and along with it my portable calendar. I wanted something small that I could put in my purse and keep track of appointments, things to remember/do and important dates. This little planner works great.

I has a page with two years "at a glance" (just the months and date numbers) so you can see what date falls when this year and next. Then there are monthly calendar pages for the year (one month per page, with small boxes for each day). Here I put my reoccurring important dates like birthdays and holidays and other "big" things. And then most of the planner has a weekly calendar for the year, with a week spanning over two pages, and a section with several lines for each day. This is where I put in my appointments and things to remember. The back of the planner has several pages of directory spaces for contact information.

I like using this planner because it is easy for me to just jot a reminder or note in it (unlike my PDA phone where is felt so "official" to have to enter an event). And I don't have to set a time for things. But of course, it won't sound a reminder alarm for you :)

I like this planner because it is pretty wide open to let you write where you want. The pages are simple, the cover is the only thing with color or pictures on it. The planner is about the size of a pack of 3x5 index cards and has spiral binding (so you can stick a pen or pencil in it to keep a writing utensil nearby at all times!). I'm glad I bought it.

Small but well laid out... (2010-01-25)

I didn't read the size before I purchased this. It is very small - it'll fit in a purse just fine, but it's not as great for the office if you have a lot to write in - I found my hand bumping the spiral binding regardless of which side I wrote on just because of the size. But as the size goes, it would be a fantastic planner... I just wasn't expecting the size and didn't even think that they might come in different (smaller) sizes.

Nice planner (2010-06-25)

I was tired of writing things on randome peices of paper and then losing them. I looked at all the different planners in the stores and didn't find what I was looking for. This planner works for me though. Plenty of room to write without being too big and bulky.

Exactly what I was looking for (2010-01-21)

This planner has a monthly and daily view with enough room for me to write all my day's items, including our menu. I'm quite happy with it as it meets all my needs.
